Hello,
I got a bit confused about when those certifications are needed - can somebody please shed some light on the topic?
It's about a small product that uses cc3100 (possibly the upcoming module).
From what I understand so far if the device has any sort of antenna, for FCC it will need to be certified under "Part 15" - "intentional radiator" - which is quite expensive and each test costs about $10 000.
The cc3100 module however is expected to provide that FCC certificate. Does that mean that the end product will be able to use that certificate for granted, therefore avoiding the need for the expensive tests?
If this is so, then will the end product need any other testing - like "unintentional radiator", supposedly much cheaper?
What about the CE certification?
Many thanks in advance!
