I have a CC3200 Launchpad and its working properly with PC usb.
I want to use it at some remote location so a 5V 1000mAH charger will be good to go with.
Please suggest if any other power supply is available or needed

Most likely that will work. I have seen some launchpad videos with smartphone chargers as power supply.
I have not tried that myself though.

Did anybody used a smartfone charger with a CC3200 launchap.
Please confirm is anyone used it.
I just fear that it may not get fried off!!!
Hi Amir,
It will work.
The CC3200 Launchpad has a 3.3 LDO Regulator. It converts 5 V to 3.3 V that will be used by CC3200.
How LDO Regulator or Voltage Regulator works is the larger the difference of voltage conversion, higher heat is generated. That is why other Voltage Regulator have heat sinks.
I have experienced Voltage Regulator burning up and splitting, because I forgot to put a heat sink.
So, at CC3200 Launchpad having a 5V input from a smartphone charger is okay. It is similar to connecting your CC3200 Launchpad to USB port of your PC.
One of Jonathan Valvano youtube video with this title "IEEE802.11 Wireless Example with CC3100 and TM4C123", show the use of lipstick battery bank or a smartphone charger to power up Tiva Launchpad. Tiva Launchpad also has 3.3 V LDO Regulator.
