Dear All,

i get some problem when i use the cc3200(Production) in my product, it is perfect when i run the bare code(without NWP subsystem), such as blinkly project and timer project, but when run the udpsocket project or out-of-box project and so on(with NWP subsystem), the program will died in sl_start().

can anyone give me some advice, thanks very much!

1. Have you followed the exact layout as in our refernce design ? From picture, looks like you have deviated.

2. How many layer board is it ?

1. We designed it follow the TI reference design. Can you tell me difference between our design and TI's.

2 Our board is four layers.

1. Kindly share the layout files. You can send me directly as well. Kindly share your email id.

2. Also, confirm that the components ( inductors and caps ) current ratings are same as mentioned in DS.

3. Try powering it thru 1Ampere DC source instead of PC USB.

Few comments on your schematics

There has been a new version of the reference schematics (Rev 4.1). Please use that to revise your board in the next revision.

The reason for the board not working with NWP turn ON most likely is due to the in-rush current of the CC3200.

Can you remove J12 from the Launchpad and try again. J12 will feed the power to the on-board CC3200 and the LDO may not be able to power the external CC3200.

ALso do not use J20 to power the board. The mosfet in the path will add a drop. Use J12 to power the external board.

When the NWP of the CC3200 is enabled it will intitialize a calibration sequence where it can draw high current (upto 450mA) depending on input voltage. This is what we call as in-rush current here. If the power supply drops while doing this, the device may get RESET.
