CC3100 "SPI" connection with SimpleLink Studio (PC)

Okay... my understanding is that the CC31XXEMUBOOST provides the connection between the CC3100 and my PC via the USB cable and "emulates" the SPI connection between the PC host (MCU) and the CC3100.

What is the SPI clocking speed emulated?  20MHz?

I'm interested in evaluating the performance (TCP/IP specifically) of the CC3100 and would like to know whether this configuration supports the CC3100's best performance (SPI clocking max... 20MHz).
