using P89V51RD2 with cc3000 breakout board

Is it possible to interface "CC3000 breakout board" directly with "P89V51RD2".

If yes, then only configuring the SPI in micro-controller would do the job or I should configure the cc3000 using "CC3000 RADIO TOOL"

    Hi,

    Can you please let me know which breakout board are you referring to?

    If this breakout board has the SPI lines pulled out, along with GPIOs for IRQ, RST with Vcc,Gnd then you should be able to configure it.

    I am  using "SparkFun CC3000 breakout board", can you please provide me some link so that i can get some idea about "power up sequence" for the same "SparkFun CC3000 breakout board". The main problem is that I'm new to WiFi project. If you could provide me some link which can give information about "power up sequence for SparkFun CC3000 breakout board" and "CONFIGURING SparkFun CC3000 with a micro-controller" would be of great help.

    The power up sequence for CC3000 can be found in the data sheet (Page 9) http://www.ti.com/lit/ds/symlink/cc3000.pdf.

    The SPI configuration should follow the timing from the below link: http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/CC3000_Serial_Port_Interface_%28SPI%29 .

    With respect to the board related query for power sequence of "SparkFun CC3000 breakout board", Could you please post the query on the relevant forum of SparkFun?
