CC3000 tcp server socket close problem

Hi,

I use the server module on cc3000 but closesocket() function makes me crazy because of its slowness. I want to create a loop which works fast. However, closesocket() makes it impossible. Do you have any suggestion? Also, do I create a socket in every loop?

Hi Turan,

Sorry, but closesocket() is the only way to close a socket in CC3000.

Do I have to close sockets at the end of every tcp-server loop?

Hi Turan,

You don't have to close the socket, it really depends on your implementation.
However, as a general guideline, since you are implementing a TCP server on an embedded machine, I would recommend you to close the child socket once you are done with it, since you have a limited number of available sockets and you want to keep them free for new client connections.
