WLAN module not detected in Linux SDK 7 EVM starter kit

Can you try with the prebuilt images first and confirm?

Yeah I tried but it doesn't works. It works for SDK 6.0 but not in  SDK 7.0

This is really strange... The prebuilt images works for me without any issues.
Which module are you using? Do you have the relevant dts entries? Can you verify if WLAN_EN is getting toggled?

In my downloaded version Linux SDK 7 I don't see the .dts file of EVM SK containing the WLAN pins multiplexed.

I tried changing the .dts file and re-compiled it. I replaced the zImage file into /rootfs/boot/ alone. It doesn't works.

Also the init.d script contains calibration during each of the power cycle is missing.

You need to also copy the dtb file to "/rootfs/boot/"
To build the zImage & dts file, use "make zImage dtbs"
To copy the images, use:

cp arch/arm/boot/zImage /media/rootfs/boot/zImage-3.12.10-ti2013.12.01
cp arch/arm/boot/dts/am335x-evm.dtb /media/rootfs/boot/devicetree-zImage-am335x-evm.dtb

In my .dts file located in /arch/arm/boot/dts/am335x-evmsk.dts doesn't contains the pin multiplexing for WLAN module.

Kindly share the .dts file suitable for EVM starter kit which contains the pin multiplexing for the WLAN interface enabled.

Hi Giji,

Sorry it still doesn't works. The one thing I am able to identify is EVM SK has WL12xx connected and don't seems to have WLAN enabled whereas EVM GP board contains provision for WL18xx and it might work. I only have starter kit with me.

I'm sorry - I did not know you had a wl12xx chipset.
The latest supported kernel version for wl12xx is: 3.0.8

Thats fine. I could see that Only missing thing is the .dts support and code to initialize the WLAN in the Linux SDK 7.0
If that one is available then it my issue will be solved.
