Hi,

Is it possible to wake up CC3200 from LPDS using NWP idle connected if the CC3200 has been put in AP mode? For example, I have a use case as follows: I have a CC3200 (A) which is put into AP mode. I also have another CC3200 (B) that is configured to connect to A. Then I put A into LPDS with NWP idle connected.

Question: would it be possible to wake A up from LPDS by sending some packets using B? I know that it would work if A was put in station mode and was setup to connect to an AP/router. However, it didn't seem work for me if A was put into AP mode and there's no other AP or router involved.

Hi Tung,

I think I answered your query in another thread. But just to reiterate - the networking subsystem cannot be placed in LPDS when operating in AP mode. The APPs subsystem alone can be placed in LPDS. However, the real savings in power in an idle connected scenario is due to all subsystems going to LPDS and hence the system wide LPDS operation kicking in (this is possible only in station mode).
