First of all a very heartful thanks for all the support I have received and learned from TI.

I am trying to import a project for SimpleLink Smart Plug V2.5.

While importing the below error occurs

See details below.
Error: Import failed for project 'SimpleLink Smart Plug V2.5' because its meta-data cannot be interpreted. Please contact support.

I am using Windows 7 32 bti.

CCS 6.1 Latest available on TI. Attached are the screen print for the same

Please guide!!!

I can confirm I get the exact same issue. So this looks to be an issue with the Smart Plug project. I could not determine any workarounds.

Hi Amir,

The SmartPlug V2.5 is an Android application. CCS won't be able to open it.
Please use Eclipse with Android add-on to open this project.

Hi Victor and Amir,

One part is an Android app, but there are 2 other parts, these being c applications for the CC3200 and the MSP430i2040.

On closer inspection I can see why these cannot be opened by CCS. They are actually IAR Embedded Workbench projects!

Can it be edited in CCS so i dont have to make a complete new project!!!!

The code is C, so you can certainly view it in CCS. You will however need to port everything over so that it will work with a CCS project....it will not be as simple as importing the project....but shouldn't be too difficult, as the code should work with minor adjustment.
