Uniflash cannot connect once FTDI EEPROM flashed

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UNIFLASH, CC3200

Hi,

Today I flashed the EEPROM for ft2232d using FT_PROG with supplied XML file named "CC3200_LP3_DUAL.xml". After doing this I can no longer connect to the device from Uniflash. Uniflash dump looks like this

[19:57:14] Begin Format operation.
[19:57:14] INFO: > Executing Operation: Connect
[19:57:14] FATAL: --- Can't connect to device !! ---
[19:57:15] FATAL: Error connecting to the device. Please check your COM port settings. Error code: 1
[19:57:15] INFO: > Executing Operation: Disconnect
[19:57:15] ERROR: Error disconnecting from the device. Error code: 0
[19:57:15] Operation Format returned.

SOP2 is not connected. Both J6 and J7 are in the "FLASH" position.

Somewhere in this forum also mentioned to check whether the chip can still be debugged. Yes, it can. When I put SOP2 back on and flash an application, the flashing works and I see transfers made through UART.

Has anyone encountered such issue? This also crashed my Windows laptop once (blue screen of death w/ paging error, sorry can't reproduce this). If anyone knows if the FTDI config file is related to Uniflash not being able to connect, I'd appreciate your feedbacks!
