Hi all,

We are using a JORJIN module (WG7500-00) integrating the WL1281 wireless chipset.

We are trying to use the Bluetooth interface in BLE mode.

Kernel : Yocto Linux 3.2

We try the following comand under Linux

hcitool scan : commande OK , Bluetooth device is found
hcitool lescan : commande KO

we get the following report: “set scan parameters fails input/output error”

the linux driver used is the one from : http://wireless.kernel.org/en/users/Drivers/wl12xx website.

Any idea, advises, documentation, examples, that could help us?

If of any help:
The latest SP (2.14) can be found on https://git.ti.com/wilink8-bt/ti-bt-firmware/
The git includes WL6/7/8 BTS files.

WL1281 SP (TIInit_10.6.15.bts) includes BLE functions.
Our solution is HCI based device, TI don’t provide Bluetooth stack for WL7 (only for WL8).

Are you using the WL1281 SP (TIInit_10.6.15.bts) from the root folder of https://git.ti.com/wilink8-bt/ti-bt-firmware/trees/master

Hello,

Can you clarify what the solution was? We have the same case, when trying to use any Bluetooth LE hci commands we receive the error:

“set scan parameters fails input/output error”

However, after updating TIInit_10.6.15.bts we have a new problem, hci0 will not come up.

In UIM, we see:

"poll broke due to event 10(PRI:2/ERR:8)"

Note, before changing to TIInit_10.6.15.bts we were able to communicate over Bluetooth 2.0 EDR. Any advice would be appreciated.

Actually Jorjin provided the appropriate *.bts file.
The *.bts file from Texas Instruments doesn't seems to be usable with the jorjin chip for some functionalities.

I recommend to contact Jorjin's support.

bluetooth stack: bluez 4.98
bts : TIInit_10.6.15.bts ( git.ti.com/.../)
run : hciattach /dev/ttyPS0 texas 3000000

Print information
Found a Texas Instruments' chip!
Firmware file : /lib/firmware/TIInit_10.6.15.bts
Loaded BTS script version 1
Can't set device: Protocol not supported
Can't initialize device: Protocol not supported

why???
can U send the jorjin's bts file to me ?
