CC3200-LAUNCHXL power control relay reference design

Hi, is there any reference design on how to setup CC3200 as a power control for electrical appliances? I know I would need a relay switch, and has to do something with GPIO pins on the board, but I have no knowledge on how to do the actual setup.

Any reference design or tutorial that I could refer for implementation?

In order to perform power control using the CC3200 LaunchXL you would need to buy a relay control board. An example is given below which is opto coupled to avoid any shocks to the user

you can drive the control inputs using any GPIO. This relay requires 5V which can be provided by P3.1 on the laubchpad. Also 5V is available on J19 pin1. (marked by 5V)

On this relay board there is a connector labelled GND, IN1, IN2, VCC

Connect as shown below

Launchpad Relay board

GND --------- GND

P1.3 ----------- IN1

P1.4 ----------- IN2

VCC ---------- J19.1

This should work fine.
