How to install BlueZ 5.28 on TI SDK7.0?

Besides that, How to test BlueZ with WL1835, do you have any Demo page show BlueZ testing process?
Can I install BlueZ directly on to rootfs of Prebuilt Image for Beaglebone Black because it already have dtb, zImage suitble for testing with WL1835MOD cape?

I will check what the problem with the repository is.
Meanwhile, please see if you can access: git.ti.com/.../master

Regarding the Demos, you can take a look at: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../WL127x_WLAN_and_Bluetooth_Demos. But please note that it is an old page, with an old BlueZ version. So might have to tweak it a bit for your version.

The prebuilt image will have the hci_core libraries - so you should be able to bring up BT using "hciconfig hci0 up" and hcitool commands also work.

Hi Tri,

You should be able to access it now.
Most of the packages in the script downloads fine, but some might have moved to another site.

For Eg:

zlib has moved to: "zlib.net/.../zlib-1.2.7.tar.gz" and you can get the specific alsa lib verison from : "launchpad.net/.../alsa-lib_1.0.27.2.orig.tar.bz2"

The rest should build fine.

I don't understand some point in this BlueZ_Bringing_Up link :processors.wiki.ti.com/.../WL18xx_BlueZ_Bringing_Up_on_AM335x
1. The link mentioned the UART1 is used for BT with BT_EN GPIO = 117 but I see the WL8 Device patch file above was used UART4 for BT and BT_EN GPIO = 44(Bank1, pin12). So which UART port is default used in this guide.?

2. After patched 3 patch file, I don't see the config below in omap2plus_defconfig file:
CONFIG_BT_WILINK=y
CONFIG_BT=y
CONFIG_BT_L2CAP=y
CONFIG_BT_RFCOMM=y
CONFIG_BT_SCO=y

Please confirm!

3. If I'm using prebuilt image included Bluetopia UART4 port for BT and I want to still using UART4 port for BLueZ so can I install BLueZ directly to rootfs of prebuilt Image without need patching, make and copy zimage, dtb file again? And if after installed BLueZ done, I want to test A2DP streaming using apt-X codec with Beat Speaker so have any script permit using BlueZ stack to control BT module(not Bluetopia) while we having both Bluetopia and BlueZ installed parallel on system?
My purpose of using BllueZ 5.28 because it support apt-X codec for A2DP streaming.

Hi,

1. It is as per the patch, what is shown in the link is just an example.
2. If not you need to explicitly define them in the omap2plus_defconfig (in addition to the patch files, especially CONFIG_BT_WILINK=y)
3. Yes. you will have to take care of all the blueZ dependence.

Mind that the prebuilt images from below link either for BBB or Am335x EVM, contains Bluetopia stack by default. processors.wiki.ti.com/.../WL18xx_AMxxx_Platform_Integration_Guide
