Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CC3200
Hi,
I want to make a wireless datalogger with the following specs: 1 channel, 8-bit resolution, at least 200 kSps ADC speed, continuous wireless transfer to a computer. Now, with 200 ksps, I'd need to transmit 1600 megabit per second, so I guess some WiFi solution is needed. Also, the analog signal I'm sampling is 0-5V, so it would be preferrable with 5V tolerance, but if not, I could always make a voltage translator down to 3.3V. So I really just need to sample the data and shuffle it to the WiFi module. I don't need a two-way link, just continuous streaming from the data logger is sufficient. If I lose some packets it's not detrimental. The required range is around 100 meters LOS outside. I don't have any experience with WiFi modules before, so I thought I'd ask to get steered in the right direction.
Any recommendations for seamless and easy-to-start solutions? Like development boards which include both microprocessors, ADCs, and an easy to use WiFi module. Preferrably something as easy to use as the Arduino development environments.
Thanks!
