WL18xx for i.MX6SL, kernel:3.10.17; Automatic Channel Selection support in hostapd

Hi,

Does the above mentioned version support ACS [Automatic Channel Selection]?. I would like to know whether hostapd picks a channel automatically.

If so could you please provide kernel configuration and hostapd configuration changes required for ACS support.

We are using version R8.a9.14. We have applied patch imx-patch-wifi-btv1.11 .

Hi Ijaz,

ACS should be supported in that version, but AFAIK, this is not the open source implementation.
You can set "channel=0" in the hostapd.conf and it should pick a free channel.

Hi Gigi,

For this version, How is calibration handled?. Loading of wlcore module happens automatically and the modules are build inside yocto.
In this case how can we do calibration?.

I don't fully understand your question.
The calibration process is explained in: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../WL18xx_Calibration_Process
