Difference between CC3100MOD and CC3200

Hi Anna,

CC3200 is a wireless MCU, i,e, it has an MCU along with the Network processor.
CC3100 only has a Network processor. Therefore, one would have to interface an external MCU with CC3100 to run applications to work with Network processor.

In my application i want to interface the wifi module to stm32f4.
But i dont i have sufficient memory for the wifi processing in my controller.
In my application if i call an api from my processor ie stm32f429zi i want the wifi to work.
Actually i am confused by your word network processor.
OUT OF TWO WHICH SUIT FOR MY APPLICATION

Hi,

Both should suit your application. The network processor is nothing but the wireless network processor as you mentioned above.

With CC3100 you should interface an external micro controller.
But with CC3200 you need not interface an external micro controller, as it has an MCU in it.
