I want to use smart config for provisioning, whenever wifi disconnects it will again go to smart config and wait for APP to give configuration. My question is if any already stored AP comes up will Device will connect to it , while waiting for APP i/p. Is there any way we can intimate the end user, whenever wifi disconnects and device go into smart config mode ?

It should not - please see: processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC32xx_Provisioning_Smart_Config : "Delete all the profiles to ensure that CC32xx device doesn't connect to any other AP"

Hi Joseph , what about my second question ? . Is there any way we can intimate the end user, whenever wifi disconnects and device go into smart config mode ?

i.e., in AP mode provisioning, if WiFi disconnects I will go into AP mode, user can know that wifi get disconnected since it is advertising .

Similarly is there any way I can that end user can know it ? Also is it possible to use Smart Config for communicating any other information other than SSID and Key .

Hi Thanga,

You can setup a flag in the code that whenever the device disconnects, you check the flag and enter the SmartConfig routine.

As of right now, only SSID, password, and device name information is sent during SmartConfig.

Thanks for your reply, I think you are not understanding my question , Is it possible intimate the Smart phone Application whenever wifi get disconnected from cc3200. (CC3200 send Wifi Disconnected to APP so that it can configure again through smart config).

Currently Only SSID and Key are sent , Is it possible that I can add some more commands and request to APP other than provisioning ?

If I can add please tell me how to do the same ?

I think there is no support from TI for adding commands in Smart Config
