CC3200 websock camera image stands still

Hello,

I compile websock camera demo application with MT9D111 camera and all works fine, but when I move the camera the image stands still and stop working, it seems to be that when camera send more information (more figures/colors) or when incress the ambient brightness, the camera stop send image information or microcontroller crashed.

I do not change any line in original source code.

Do you know what is going on?. Anybody have the same problem?.

Hi Jose,

On moving the camera, it try to auto-focus that cause some delay in image capturing but it should not crash. Please share stack trace during the crash so that we can find the root cause for this behavior.

Can you give the steps or procedure to get the stack trace during the crash from the CCS Debug?.

Hi Jose,

During crash pause the debugger and take screenshot of debug window (call stack).

Hi Jose,

Please increase image buffer size NUM_OF_1KB_BUFFERS from 50(1:3 compression ration) to 75(1:2 compression ratio) or more depend upon scenario/jpeg size. We have found in some cases when image have more detail (specially when camera pointing to black-and-white strip); jpeg compression is not efficient and jpeg file will be big. So please define buffer as per worst jpeg compression ratio in the scenario where your application going to run.

Hi Aashish,

I try to put NUM_OF_1KB_BUFFERS to 75 but I do not have enought memory in my microcontroller, maxumiun for my is 55, then I change the resolution to 320x240 and now is working really good.
