Hi everyone,

Plz help to make me clear.

1. I can work without service pack so when I need service pack?

2. I have ten cc3200 device, I want to choose one of them connect to AP by using smartconfig, I try to change name device on Smartconfig box of smartphone, but it's still connect all of them to AP (no choice). How I can solve my problem? what is function of "Device" box on smartphone smartconfig app ?

3, In mDNS we have a string like :"myApp._device-info._tcp.local", "myApp" is a string used to recognize device when we use smartconfig, isn't it?

hi , In Smart Config you can only configure all device at a time . If you want not to do that you ought to go for AP mode provisioning .

Service pack is used to upgrade NWP, it will be released whenever there is any fix in NWP and file system .
Service pack is a common name for the image required for updating the device (either upgrade or downgrade the device). The service pack is a single file containing images for all flavors of the device, regardless if it is CC3100/CC3200 or ROM/Flash device.

To get all fixes of the latest SDK you will need to use latest service pack.

When I format memory by using Uniflash, will it retains service pack? if yes, why is it so ?

I still not clear 2nd question.

The service pack binary file is not part of Uniflash and should be fetched from TI repository separately.

Hi,

Please refer to the UniFlash Quick Start Guide and Uniflash Complete Guide for references.

Once you format the device, you'll need to re-flash the service pack and the application binary.

Regarding the mDNS message, I'd suggest you to take time to understand how mDNS and Apple's Bonjour work. This is an important step in terms of acknowledging a new device within the local network.
