The CC3200MOD launchpad gerber and pdf files show larger tolerance in layer pcb thickness for 1-4 layers, like 1.7±0.4 oz. As certificate might requires exact routing on the layer especially for antenna performance, please give more stringent range for each layer’s copper thickness.

The PCB metal thichkness has very less impact on the radiated emissions form the board and hence this is not specified so stringent. Also the certification does not require to copy the layout exactly. So long as the gain of antenna is lower and it is of the same type, the certification can be transferred. For details refer to the certification page.

We know that FCC class II permissive change basically involves changing of antenna gain/performance.

Can we change number of layers?

In the case one uses same antenna as TI certificate module, but layout stack is changed, and we make sure that antenna impedance stays the same using track impedance calculators. In this case, TI layout guideline SWRU370A covers only 4 layer case; however if we change stack to 6 or more, if we do keep impedance of antenna wire (might adjust its width to match impedance, but keep its shape and length unchanged), can we still transfer the certificate directly?

yes, your assumption is correct. So long as the gain of the antenna is lower or same and it is of the same type (chip antenna) you should not have any problem to change the stack-up
