Can I remove the Codec TLV320AIC3254 in wifi audio app example?

I wanna use I2S from CC3200 and connect to another amplifier support I2S and I wonder if it 's possible.

Anyone have try to use like this can give me any advice please.

Hello

It is not possible to replace the AIC3254 with the power amplifier. The power amplifier requires analog inputs and you would need one Audio codec to perform the I2S (Digital) to Analog conversion.

However you can cascade the power amp with the AIC3254 codec to increase the audio power output.

So its main function is just convert I2S signal to DAC signal and output to amplifier, isn't it @Prajay?
Can I replace it by other IC that can convert I2S to DAC(PCM5102 etc.) because 3254 is too small and hot in my PCB, so I am scared of burnning it out!

What if I replace it by ic which can convert I2S to Analog like PCM5102?

Yes you could use another audio codec. But not the PCM5102 as it seems not recommended for new designs.
