running in usb debug mode

I have the LP running on two computers via debug mode.  Both can connect to the AP ,  the red, orange, green led are on ,  audio in loopback mode,  NOTERM define removed.

the two units stuck in loopback mode after connected to the AP.   if I press SW2  on LP1   sometime I get back "unable to unregister MDNS service" from LP1.

what is the best way to debug ?

  • Hi Cho,

Please ignore "unable to unregister MDNS service" warning. To run in Streamer mode follow below steps as suggested on processors.wiki.ti.com/.../CC32xx_Wifi_Audio_Application:

    1. Ensure Line-IN and Line-OUT points are connected appropriately on both the launch pads.
    2. Upon successful connection to AP, press SW2 on LP1. Red LED will switch off on LP1.
    3. Once LP1 connects to LP2, the red LED on LP2 will switch off.
    4. Now press SW2 on LP2 and SW3 on LP1. Red LED will switch on LP2.

  • thanks Ashish

I followed your suggestion closely but I am still having the same problem. stuck in loopback. both LPs do connect to AP. any idea as where in the code I should look into ? thanks
  • Hi Cho,

Are you able to run step 2 " Upon successful connection to AP, press SW2 on LP1. Red LED will switch off on LP1." successfully. If not means mDNS part is not working in this case please share sniffer capture.

  • Hi Ashish,

I am sure the 2 units are connected  to AP.  after pressing SW2 , i got "Unable to unregister MDNS service" from the unit. and the red LED went off. the other LP (#2) did nothing.

can you suggest which sniffer to use  to capture mDNS part's traffic ?

    thanks

    Cho

  • Hi Ashish,

I did more testing on this wifi audio app.

I tested the .bin from the wifi audio app but still run into the same problem (both LPs connected to AP but they just remained in loopback, all 3 LED are on, and no change after pressed the SW2).  so the included .bin does not work for me.

    using SDK  v1.1.0.xxx

board is flashed with service pack v1.0.1.5.0

Can you tell me what environment this wifi_audio_app does work ?  i.e. what AP were used to test this app and did the app work in debug mode or standalone (app flashed)  ?

    thanks

  • Hi Ashish,

can you suggest a setup I can use to capture the mDNS traffic between LPs cheaply ? does all the LPs' wifi ethernet traffic replicate to all the ethernet ports on a consumer AP so one can monitor the ethernet port on AP to capture all the traffic ?
    thanks
  • Hi Cho,

You can use any packet sniffer if you are not using secure sockets and AP is open. SDK Wifi audio application doesn't create secure socket so only need is open AP.
