Hi everybody!

Could anybody tell me, can I use CC3200 only as transmitter/ receiver with modulator/demodulator without working as described in standard 802.11 (acknowledges after receiving packets,....) and working in accordance with my own designed protocol for transfering data between two CC3200 modules?

Thank You! I want to design 2 radiotransievers. On one hand it must receive packets from IP-camera at bit rate 4Mbps or maybe then higher, conversate them and transmit on radio and on the other hand it must receive packets on radio and after conversation transmit it to computer. Can I use CC3200 in designing these radiotransievers in accordance with my own radioprotocol?

Hi,

Yes, it is possible to use your own protocol. In transceiver you can create even own mesh network. But if your CC3200 is switched to transceiver mode, wifi services (WLAN connection/TCP/IP etc.) are not available. You can use transceiver mode or "wifi mode", but not both mode at same moment.
