Hi,

I was trying to customize the sample for the Smartconfig java applet.

Run into security and permissions issues with the applet jar library. My first thought was that it was something related with running it locally and went to the TI web site

It turns out that the same security prompt was fired. Tried this on Edge, IE 11 and Chrome. The prompt that Java security shows is as follows "... missing permissions manifest attribute in the main jar."

As you are not providing the source code for the java applet could you please release an updated version addressing this security prompt?

Hi Jose,

This Java Applet is for CC3000. We don't support this applet with CC3100/CC3200. You'll need to use Android/iOS devices to run the "Wi-Fi Starter" application to use SmartConfig.

Hi,

Thanks for replying.
But... There may not be an Android or iOs device around. I would say that something usable in a regular Windows PC or a browser would be interesting or even a must have.

As an alternative can you share the details on how the smart config works so we can implement it ok Windows platforms?

Hi Jose,

Unfortunately, we currently don't support SmatConfig outside of Andoird/iOS. You can still use other provisioning methods like WPS or AP Provisioning.
