Switching from cc3200 launchpad to redbearlab wifi micro

Hello all,

I am using cc3200 launchpad to communicate with AWS IOT server. If I switch to redbearlab micro ,will it work the same way or will there be any problems ?

do you actually mean the mini? they have a "blend micro" but that is not Wi-Fi.
if you do mean the mini, http://redbearlab.com/ it appears this device uses the CC3200 module and is designed and promoted to be compatible with all the IDEs and because it is the module, should be exactly like any other development platform in that respect and on that page, they do have examples for Energia and Energia + Temboo cloud - i don't see example for AWS Cloud, but if you are already using it, it should be same for you.

Hi Josh,

I actually meant micro only. This one http://redbear.cc/wifi-micro/ . So everything that works on the launchpad, should work as well in all cc3200 based boards,right ?

looks like this one is just PCB under the MOD, so you can solder wires or mount on header pins...should be same.

Yes, I think that would be better to use in the product instead of the launchpad. Later I will design my own board using the cc3200 chip.

Btw launchpad is great for prototype. It saved a lot of time.
