Hi,
We're doing a custom board with CC3200MOD, and are running into some issues with design rules check violations around SMD neck-down constraints. This happens when the pad to track ratio is exceeded (default 50%). The placement of the filters' pads and antenna traces results in an SMD neck-down constraint violation.
For the antenna traces, the recommended width is 20 mil, which would make it as big, or almost as big as the pads for the filter, inductor, etc.
The reference design (there was a TI wifi board file we found that we ran the design rules check against) does not seem to have that issue, even though the trace is almost the pad width.
We're not sure what we're doing different, and if those constraint violations can be ignored?
Thanks,
Sridhar
