Hi,
We want to incorporate WL1807MOD in our design due to two requirements which are mandatory to be supported in the product: 1)that it supports upto 10 nodes connection as an AP and 2)It supports -40 to 85 Degree C temperature range.
Now, we feel that the two features of this module 1)5GHz Band support and 2) MIMO are not needed for this product. Can anybody suggest a way to permanently disable these two feature by configuration and/or by Hardware design?
If we are able to disable the MIMO feature, then can we get rid of one of the antenna & its RF path from our hardware design? If yes, removing which antenna path would be a better choice for e.g. supporting 5GHz band in future)?
Would the FCC ID of the module would still remain valid in this kind of configuration and design?
