Just for information new SDK and Service pack is now available for download - http://www.ti.com/tool/CC3200SDK

List of Changes:

Version Updates:
- Updated Network Processor Host Driver to version – 1.0.1.11 (Refer to release_notes_1.0.1.11.html for change details)
Netapps:
- Updates to MQTT library and examples (Refer to CC3200-MQTT_release_notes.pdf for details)
OTA:
- Updated OTA example to support Dropbox API v2

Does the new service pack require the updated SDK to function?

Hi,

I think it is better is change to latest SDK when you want use latest SP.

I already not changed my projects to this new SDK, but according available documentation it look SimpleLink API was not changed and code with SDK 1.2.0 can be ported easily. I think there are two main reasons to switch to SDK 1.3.0:

-fixes in MQTT library

- support for OTA with Dropbox API v2
