Hi,

I'm developing a wireless system based on CC3200Mod and I would like to know if there is some simple Antenna design solution available. I have found this reference design () but I would like to know the calculations did to connect the antenna to the ground plane with a patch acting as an inductor. There is some other reference design solution?

You can download the CC3200 reference design in the link below.

If you are referring to the calculations done for the Antenna matching network, this is done after board manufacturer and depending on the layout and parasitics may be different from the one used in the reference design.
There are various information available online for this. See link below for examples.

Thanks for the reply, your links are very good but I need another information. Do you know where to find info about the proper design (in terms of size) of the patch between the antenna's feed and the ground plane? I show you a figure token from the CC3200MOD datasheet to be more clear.

There is a keep out area recommendation as shown in the datasheet. You can contact the antenna manufacturer for the recommended dimensions for this.
