CC3120BOOST: Can it be run independently ?

Can "Advanced Emulation BoosterPack for SimpleLink WiFi CC3120 BoosterPack Bundle" be avoided? 

I have my own MCU (ARM 7) in my device . Will the CC3120BOST work properly if i connect it to the SPI port of my MCU. ? Will there be any other hardware requirements?

What is the purpose of CC31XXEMUBOOST ?

    Hi,

    CC31XXEMUBOOST is used to connect CC3120BOOST into your computer. From computer you can program serial flash connected to CC3120 of use CC3120 from software running on computer.

    For you application (connection CC3120 to your host MCU) in CC31XXEMUBOOST not mandatory. But is not bad to have one.

    The Instruction guides by TI are based on the assumption that the client using it has CC31XXEMUBOOST . What all would I have to keep in mind or what all changes would I have to make if i don't have CC31XXEMUBOOST ?

    Hi,

    Without CC31XXEMUBOOST you will not have easy way how to upload content of serial flash (ServicePack, files for webserver). And you will need create own hardware for programming or use your host MCU for programming - www.ti.com/.../swpa230
