  • It appears, you are using a older SDK releases. Can, you use latest SDK release? software-dl.ti.com/.../index_FDS.html

If, you are not using GPS in the WL18xx part, you do not have to use shared transport.

    hi

I'm using the latest sdk version as your link, the  kernel version is 4.4.41-gf9f6f0db2d.

Log as below and complete log as attached.

    Thanks!

  • I suggest not to use ST driver, if you do not have GPS part in the WL18xx device.
The tty number depends on the UART port interfaces to BT port. I believe, it is '/dev/ttyS1' on default AM335x EVM builds with COM8 module.

Here are the steps to build BT driver (hci uart) with out ST driver -
    Kernel Part :

    a) Build kernel BT module without TI ST driver.. Use plain linux UART driver with HCI.. For K4.4, we use below kernel config options:

    CONFIG_BT_RFCOMM

    CONFIG_BT_HCIUART

    CONFIG_BT_HCIUART_H4

    CONFIG_BT_HCIUART_LL

    CONFIG_BT_HCIUART_3WIRE

    User space/File system Part:

    b) Take a note of the UART and GPIO (BT Enable) wired to the WL1837 for Bluetooth.

    After, kernel has booted..

    i) Toggle the BT EN GPIO lines to reset the device.

    ex:

    echo <bt_en> /sys/class/gpio/export

    echo out > /sys/class/gpio/gpio<bt_en>/direction

    echo 0 > /sys/class/gpio/gpio<bt_en>/value

    echo 1 > /sys/class/gpio/gpio<bt_en>/value

ii) If, you are using Bluez, use hciattach, to load the firmware as below :

    #hciattach <uart dev port> texas <baudrate>

    for ex:

    #hciattach /dev/ttyS1 texas 3000000

    Thanks
  • hi,

    Yes it works for me.
I was build Bluez5.19 for BT , and there is issue when A2DP test with bluetooth speaker as log below.
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    Log :
    The following files are available at gallery(/usr/share/wl1271-demos/bluetooth/gallery);
    Document.jpg Pop.wav WLAN_Bluetooth_demo.wmv

Enter the Audio wav File Name ...
    ====> Pop.wav

aplay: main:722: audio open error: No such device or address
BT was paired with the speaker then the error occur .
    ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    I've search E2E "e2e.ti.com/.../1565702 its about sdk8 not sdk3.03.
And the thread I found didn't have the response at last , can you guide me how to fix this for sdk3.03.
    Thanks!
