Hi,

How much priority can give to task in MQTT CLIENT project.In mqtt client example 1 task is having 2 priority and 1 background event is having 3 priority.

OSI Stack Size -2048

When I tried to create new task with priority 1 or priority 4 It not works but if I give priority is same as other task i.e 2 then its works but stuck in only 1 task ( 2 task doesn't work, if we use same priority).

Can anyone suggest how much priority can give to the task?

Hi Shashank,

With only two tasks make sense only this options:
- task1 < task2 (is not important if you have task1=1 < task2=2 or task1=3 < task2=7, etc.)
- task1 > task2 (is not important if you have task1=2 > task2=1 or task1=5 > task2=2, etc.)
- task1 = task2

But do not forget that you have also task for SimpleLink... in your case you have three tasks.

Hi Jan,

Simplelink host is having 9 priority by default and Task 1 is 2 priority and event is having 3 priority by default.

Hi Shashank,

You should add sleep /osi_Sleep()/ to switching between your tasks.

I'm using CC3200 Launchpad and SDK - CC3200SDK_1.3.0.

Hi Jan,

I tried with osi_Sleep(100); but it stuck in same task(Same result). Attach is my code for your reference .

In this code, first its run the mqtt client task and 1 event is also running in background. In starting its run the MQTT client taska nd connect with server and send data over the server.In meanwhile time if its get disconnected with broker its call the sl_MqttDisconnect () function where i set the one flag. when flag is set then its automatically calls 2 task i.e BrokerDisconnect and trying to reconnect with server. If its get reconnected again then its only send 1 data to server and its stuck in 2 task itself i.e BrokerDisconnect Task.

Hi Shashank,

You should start development of OS application from beginning. Create simple application without network functionality and realise how RTOS works. For example two task with some led blinking, etc.

Although I am not able review all your code, I don't see any interprocess communication/synchronization object inside your MQTT client task. From this reason BrokerDisconnect logic cannot work properly. You should look at processors.wiki.ti.com/.../Introduction_to_the_TI-RTOS_Kernel_Workshop definitely.

I resolved my issue I changed the priority,little bit changes I have done in firmware and its works.
