Hi dear community ! :)

I am about to select the CC3220 MOD product for our application. Still I have a few questions:

- when ordering the parts, will the bootloader be built in the chip ?

- is it possible to order programmed (with our own application) chips?

- in order to get OTA fw update functionality, the OTA example has to be modified and incorporated into our own application, correct ?

- does the CC3220MODSF version really allow for 1MB program memory ?

I'll do my best to answer your questions!

Yes, there will be a default bootloader.
- is it possible to order programmed (with our own application) chips?
No, the modules do not come preprogrammed. You will have to program the module yourself, or use a third party.
- in order to get OTA fw update functionality, the OTA example has to be modified and incorporated into our own application, correct ?
Yes, this is correct
- does the CC3220MODSF version really allow for 1MB program memory ?
Yes

Hi Vincent,

No, you cannot modify default bootlaoder because is in ROM. Information about bootlaoder you find at www.ti.com/.../getliterature.tsp chapter 6.
