CC3220MOD: What should be done after completing the end product test report?

Hello team,

In an application leveraging the CC3220MOD modular certification I see section 6.12 End Product Labeling mentions the label should mark "Contains FCC ID: Z64-CC3220MOD", the certification house is asking for TI to provide any further recommendation.

Q1: Does the label also need "Contains IC: 451I-CC3220MOD"?

Q2: What other steps need to be taken after the end-product test report has been completed?

Vince: After we have a test report from a qualified test lab for our end product, do we have to do anything with the FCC to register our end product?

Hi Victor,

If you wish to leverage the CC3220MOD certification you need to ensure the following:

1) you use one of the approved antennas
2) you follow the design rules for layout of the module. This includes the RF path to the U.FL connector and/or antenna.
3) you can refer to the LAUNCHCC3220MODASF user guide (ti.com/lit/swru512 ). this guide as the rules needed for incorporating the module into the end user product. Please refer to section 2 of the document.
