WL1805MOD: Wilink Mesh to cover a large area

Hi,

I'm trying to use Wilink 8 mesh to cover an outdoor area. The application requires a data rate of 30-50Mpbs while desired communication range is about 500 meters.

The WL1805MOD was design with chip atenna. I don't think it can do the job.

If I re-design the module with better antenna, will it be possible to meet the requirements?

    I am not sure what you mean by "re-design" the module ? WL1805MOD has no internal antennas - are you suggesting if you replace current chip antenna on your board with different antenna ? You will need to see if antenna is not performing as expected to get to that conclusion . Pls remember Throughput drops with number of mesh hops - so to achieve this throughput you will have to make sure it is 1 or 2 hop network .
