Hi,

what is the maximum current for the supply pins (3.3V or 5V) located at J22 and J23? Are the 5V pins directly connected to the usb cable? I cannot find it in the datasheet.

    Hi,

    Yes, USB 5V and 5V VCC are directly connected. Please see the schematic for the connection of the 5V pin.

    The maximum current draw expected by the chip is stated in the datasheet, it is about 450mA at 3.3V during calibration.
    The converter on launchpad is rated for 1A max, so i believe the max expected for all the circuitry on the launchpad should not be above 1A
