WiFi evaluation board with MCU

Hi all,

I'm relatively new to this topic but I'm looking for a WiFi evaluation board. We have a project to connect two boards together through WiFi and we plan to expand the project to contain couple of board and a router in which all boards can see each other and communicate over WiFi. Currently, we have TM4C evaluation board and would like to know which WiFi booster pack is suitable for our project. I personally also think of using a standalone board which has the MCU and WiFi module on a single board (instead of using TM4C).

Any help would be appreciated,

the CC3220S or CC3220SF LaunchPads would be ideal for your use case described.

These LaunchPads have M4 MCU + Wi-Fi Network Processor, all inside one IC.

Josh,
Thanks for the recommendation.
They seem to be identical except the on-board flash memory.

If we want to continue working with TM4C Launchpad, what do you suggest to use as a WiFi EVM/Booster Pack? Is it going to be more challenging if we use a separate MCU board?

the CC3100 or CC3120 BoosterPack would be what you need here - depends on your firmware ability and your long term goals, really.

Thank you Josh. The project goal is to have >10 rover and stationary stations communication over WiFi to each other. Our firmware ability is at moderetare level.
