CC3200-LAUNCHXL: need access internet when cc3200 work as AP

Hi

Because CC3200 can not work as STA+AP mode, My project design need to change to another way. Here is my project plan: I have a internet wifi router beside cc3200 device, cc3200 work as STA mode. the first question is how can customer access cc3200 device to setup cc3200 configuration like AP ssid, password before cc3200 connect internet , second is how to change configuration sometime or reset some data during cc3200 work as STA working .

So far we are still think the project possibility, we have an old cc3200 launch pad at hand and can try it. Dose cc3220 change lots can support AP +STA mode or just increase some performance and security?

No STA+AP is not supported at CC3220. As I know STA+AP is supported at ESP chips and WICED devices from Cypress.

CC3200 is perfect device, but CC3220 is better.

I read that charpter 8, sounds like it make project complex. Customer may be access cc3200 with a mobile phone or pc or other smart device with wifi function, we cann't program on these device. the only way is code webpage on cc3200 device. how can we do.

Use AP mode for provisioning - see chapter 8.3.

how does cc3200 access internet when it is in AP mode, you don't know what time customer need to access it and you need working as STA mode. any idea?

AP mode use only for provisioning (setup of WiFi connection parameter for you local Acess point). For normal usage use STA mode. Please read 8.3.1 chapter at SWRU368A. I think this chapter describes everything.
