Not able to detect SDIO over MMC 2 interface

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: WL1271

Hi,

I am working on WLAN, which is not working over MMC 2 on OMAP35xx target board with PSP linux-2.6.32. however it is working fine with PSP linux 2.6.29 on same target board. We are seeing that SDIO is  not got detected for MMC 2 with PSP linux-2.6.32. We have done below modifications:

1. Added entry for MMC 2 in the board file.

2. Added the pin muxing for MMC 2.

Please let me know if I am missing anything..

Thanks,

Koushik

  • Koushik,

If you are using v2.01.03.11-WL6.1.3.1-1.0-Linux-x86-Install package, WLAN drivers need to be ported to PSP Linux-2.6.32.

The ported drivers are available in DVSDK release; http://software-dl.ti.com/dsps/dsps_public_sw/sdo_sb/targetcontent/dvsdk/DVSDK_4_00/latest/index_FDS.html

Building WLAN package is required for using it. Also, WL1271 WLAN driver has its own sdio driver, does not rely on kernel sdio driver, you need not  add entry in board file.

    Thanks,

  • Hi Koushik,

The Wireless connectivity beta2 release for OMAP35x is available at  http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/ARM_Processor_Wireless_Connectivity_Downloads. It supports PSP-03_00_01_06 (Linux kernel 2.6.32) and  WiLink driver version 6.1.0.0.144.

    Thanks,
