Hi,

I am creating a custom design for the CC3220S based on the reference design provided by TI(sprcag0a). The flash memory IC used in the reference design(MX25R3235FM1IL0) has limited availability and I was wondering if I could replace that part with MX25R3235FM1IH0? This part is more readily available and appears to be a drop-in replacement, but I just wanted to confirm. If the MX25R3235FM1IH0 is not a suitable replacement for the MX25R3235FM1IL0 can you recommend an alternate flash memory that would be a drop-in replacement?

    Hello,

    The only difference between the two parts is the default mode.

    The original has a default of low power mode whereas the new part has High performance mode.

    The only difference is the timing of some operations and I believe it shouuld be fine (although not tested).
