CC3200: cc3200 communication with other processor

Hi,

I have cc3200 launchpad i am learning how to work with wifi using SDK applicaitons.

I want to use CC3200 with other processor i.e. i want to send and receive data through cc3200 using other processor (TMS320F28054)... like msp430 and CC3100.

Is it possible with CC3200 ? then how to communicate with cc3200 with TMS320F28054

or it's possible with only CC3100 ?

The difference between the CC3100 and CC3200 is the ARM mcu that is inside the CC3200. This allows the CC3200 to be a all in one MCU + Wi-Fi solution. The CC3100 is just the Network Processor (NWP), and needs a host MCU to control it.

Regarding using a C2000 device with a CC3x00 device, your best bet is to use the CC3200 and communicate to the C2000 device over SPI or UART. There isn't a host driver port for the C2000 devices, so using a CC3100 would take alot of development.

Hello VR,

1) Regarding the communication with host and cc3200 in UART, i have to make HOST as MASTER and CC3200 as SLAVE ? if i'm wrong correct me.

2) In SDK CC3200 1.3, UART application, is it useful in developing communication between HOST and CC3200 ?
