Linux/WL1835MOD: Issue in building WL18xx build scripts against linux kernel version 4.9.11

Hi,

I am trying to integrate WL1835MODCOM8B Wi-Fi module with Sabre SD board. I tried to use the Wl18XX build scripts for the driver. I need to compile the driver against Linux kernel version 4.9.11 but the Wl18XX build scripts package supports only up to kernel version 4.4. So, I am now planning to use the wl18xx driver available in the Linux kernel. Will it cause any issues related to certification?

Hi,

The build script indeed can't be used with a kernel newer than 4.4 for building the drivers.
The latest drivers has been pushed upstream so using a kernel 4.9.11 kernel, yo can just build the in-tree drivers that are part of your kernel.

Thanks Eyal. I used the in-tree driver for WL1835MODCOM8B Wi-Fi module and its working fine.
