Hi,

I use cc3100 as wifi module that connected to my host MCU. The project is MQTT client

Sometimes my device is not connected to my Azure MQTT server.

Can you please explain me what is RCV_TIMEOUT and KEEP_ALIVE_TIMER?

Or maybe there is other issues?

Hi Maxim,

The RCV_TIMEOUT is the specified max response time from the mqtt server. Also, the KEEP_ALIVE_TIMER is the max time for the client to send a message to the server. How long does it take for the device to disconnect from the server?

It is depends on the location of our devices, my server is on azure cloud.
How can i calculate this values?

Hi Maxim,

You can calculate this value by recording the time stamp and periodically sending a payload to the mqtt server until there is a disconnection error.
