CC3220MODA: Choosing the cc3220sfmoda for a product

Hi Guys,

I am developing a product for hospital / healthcare automations, In my system there are 2 basic requirements,

1) one input for a comparator from a sensor

2) one pwm output to a 13 kg servo(5V generic) 

and some provisions for buttons of course....

Since it is a healthcare related product I want to take utmost care in security and precision.

The communication is done via the wi-fi module to a server.

Please help in general and specific choosing of this board as I thought using cc3220sfmod is the best in dealing with security related issues

    Hi,

    I agree with you that CC3220SFMOD (or CC3220SFMODA) is a ideal device for your purpose. Security features in CC3220S (CC3220SF) are outstanding. But you also should considered of functional safety as you want create healthcare device (if may be needed for certification). Maybe usage of dedicated control processor ( www.ti.com/.../overview.html ) may be required.

    For begin you should buy www.ti.com/.../CC3220SF-LAUNCHXL or www.ti.com/.../CC3220S-LAUNCHXL

    Thanks for the info!

    To be specific my product is non invasive(no direct contact), so i don't think many regulatory features are required.

    But could I know what exact security features would be needed to do my product, I feel CC3220sfmoda is an overkill for my application.

    Hi,

    Devices is medical usage are very specific and there is many legal regulations, which you even can't imagine in the worst dream. If you not have experiences in this field, you should consult legal requirements to your product.
