CC3220: VDD-ANA2 pin use

Hi,

I am using the CC3220S and find conflicting info on the datasheet, it says to DNP R8 which means no need to connect pin 47 to VCC.

My prototypes are using pin 47 floating (just decouple cap) without issues. Is the VCC connection needed? If so, why?

Hi,

The recommendation is the place a 10uF decoupling cap to ground. If you intend to use pin 45 as a GPIO then you need the decoupling cap to ground and pull up to VCC on pin 47.

I do not need pin 45, so I will leave pin 47 floating.

Just to be clear, you need to add the 10uF cap.
