Hello everyone;

We are planning to develop our product based on the AM3352 processor and we are using the beaglebone board as a reference.

one of our requirement is to interface the CC3100 WiFi module with AM3352 processor over the SPI interface.

We have some queries as below

1) Linux driver is available for CC3100 WiFi module?

2) if not then can we got support from TI-team to developing the driver to interface CC3100 module with processor?

3) can we got more support from TI team to porting and modification of Debian OS for AM3352 processor?

Hi Nikunj,

There is no official Linux driver for CC3100 but you can find a kernel module which is not provided by TI at the link below:
github.com/.../cc3100-linux
Also you can choose a similar device WiLink™ 8 which has Linux driver support by TI:
www.ti.com/.../wilink-combo-solutions.html
About custom development you should contact with the local TI representative or TI design network at:
www.ti.com/.../searchcatalog.tsp

Thanks for your quick reply.

Now we have been freeze CC3100 WiFi module for our product .

We have some queries as below

1)We are using the SDK 1.2.0 for our further development on CC3100 so is it ok for us?
2) is there available any Linux based SDK?
3)We use only SPI interface between Processor and CC3100 module so it is possible to update the firmware of CC3100 using SPI?
4)We are developing our product(based on CC3100) for the Commercial product so is there any license rule which must be follow by us regarding the product?
