CC3100: Peak calibration mode, and Tx Power Consumption

Part Number: CC3100

Hi CC3100 team.

What does the Peak Calibration Mode do?

Is this frequency tuning?

Power consumption is stated to be 223mA when transmitting (chapter 4.9 in datasheet).

Is this an average current, or the current in burst mode?

Is there an estimated power consumption figure for the max current?

BR

Anders

  • Hi Anders,

Calibration is to tuned parameters passed to the radio to make sure it performs correctly. The numbers given in the data sheet are maximum numbers, and don't describe the consumption in a normal user case continuous transmission. The current for the use case will depend on throughput, modulation, signal level, etc.
