Hello,

I was trying to use 'ctime()' and 'time()' in 'tcp_socket' example.

It was found that the date and time string returned by 'ctime' was incorrect.

Same was observed with 'time'.

Both are returning some junk value.

My query is how can I use them in the example? Is there any other way to use these function?

Hi Vaishali,

Those functions are not used in that example. You will have to use your own implementation.

Hello,

I know that 'ctime()' function is not being used in 'tcp_socket' example.

I have modified the example 'tcp_socket' and used 'ctime()' to get the current time.

For this, I have included header file 'time.h' and the modified 'tcp_socket' example code gets build up without any error.

But, the string returned by it is some random string.

I dont think I need to do any implementation other than this. Correct me if I am wrong.

How can I use 'ctime()' to fetch the current time?

Where are you getting the time() function from? A header file is not enough

Hello,

I am unaware of the fact that how my code is getting compiled successfully,
by simply including the header file.

Where is the definition of these functions - ctime() and time() ?
Please help me to use 'ctime()' or 'time()' to fetch the current time?

I don't know how your code is linking this in. This may depend on the systick timer, and be a part of the standard c library for you compiler
