CC3200: Switch from STA mode to AP when you already acquire IP address

Can we switch from STA mode to AP after we already connect to a wlan and acquire an IP?

Suppose you have an cc3200 simple link and you are connected as station mode to a wlan and you get an IP and now you want to switch to AP, can we do that? if yes, how?

Hi,

You can change mode by sl_WlanSetMode(). After changing mode you need restart NWP /by calling sl_Stop() and sl_Start()/. When you switch WLAN mode from STA to AP, you are disconnected from connected wifi network.
