Hi,

I want to know if I can disable the 5G band in the WL1837MOD completely to avoid regulation problem.

I need the 1837 for its temperature range but I don't need the 5G band.

    Hi,

    You should be able to disable 5GHz band by setting number of 5GHz antennas to 0 using wlconf.

    cd /usr/share/wlconf
    ./wlconf -i /lib/firmware/ti-connectivity/wl18xx-conf.bin -o /lib/firmware/ti-connectivity/wl18xx-conf.bin -s wl18xx.phy. number_of_assembled_ant5=0x0

    Then unload/load wilink driver modules.
